Rachael Classi, Founder & CEO
Rachael is a veteran of building and scaling sustainable solutions to the world’s biggest problems. She began her career in the cycling industry at Specialized Bicycle Co. creating bicycles and equipment for women around the world to change how women cycle and transport themselves. She later attended Duke University, The Fuqua School of Business where she met her husband Peter and received an MBA in social entrepreneurship and corporate finance. Over the last six years she has had two daughters, Donna and Lucia, founded two startups, led marketing for a top sustainable coffee roaster and led strategy at Teamworks. Her greatest joy is sharing her love for the outdoors with her daughters and playing 500 rummy with her husband.
Kendra Holmes, Child Behavior and Inclusion Advisor
Kendra Bell Holmes is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst, Special Education Advocate and first time mom. In an effort to create an inclusive environment for all children, Kendra has spent nearly a decade working to teach appropriate communication, socialization and play and leisure skills to learners 0-15 years old. She supports parents and caregivers from diverse socioeconomic, racial and ability levels on topics such as handling challenging behavior, enhancing sibling interactions and learning through play.
Kendra lives in Portland, OR with her husband Reynolds, their dog Ice and daughter Ritchie. She earned a BA in Sociology from San Francisco State University and Masters in Education from Arizona State University.
Olynda Smith, Early Childhood Education Advisor
Olynda Smith is a Certified Montessori Early Childhood teacher, Simplicity Parenting Family Life Coach, Certified Yoga Teacher for children and adults (RYT E-500) and mother of two. Olynda has over fifteen years of experience working with young children and their parents. She has a deep love of the Montessori method and an understanding of the philosophy and method honed by nearly a decade spent as a Montessori teacher. She brings to her work with parents a rich background in different parenting styles, educational practices and most of all a deep respect for all parents and children. Several of Olynda’s articles about work with children and yoga have appeared in Montessori Life Magazine. In all of her work, Olynda considers herself to be a “connection advocate”, helping people connect more deeply to themselves, each other and the planet. Olynda lives in Durham, North Carolina with her husband, two young children and their goldfish Steev. She loves hiking, gardening, making herbal home remedies and curling up with a good book. Nicole April, Sustainability & Supply Chain Advisor
Nicole April joins the Tiny Earth Toys team with over a decade of sustainability experience. Currently, she is the Responsible Sourcing and Manufacturing Policy Manager for Nike Inc. where she oversees the Code of Conduct, Code Leadership Standards, and numerous governing policies that drive Nike’s compliance and sustainability initiatives. She has a diverse background supporting retail brands such as Patagonia Inc., lululemon and Columbia Sportswear, addressing sustainable supply chains, policy development and product and materials management.
Nicole has a dual Master’s degree in Environmental Economics and Policy and Business Administration from Duke University. A native of Santa Barbara, her love for water, hiking and nature emerged at a young age. She currently resides in Portland, OR with her husband, daughter and Corgi mix, Cali. She enjoys time with her family, traveling and being outside whenever possible.
Katelin Wheeler, Digital Community & Growth
Katelin brings an incredible background in sustainability and startup innovation with a passion for the environment. She began her entrepreneurial career at Techstars in Austin, a premier accelerator program, as an operating partner helping startups realize their goals and potential. She later went on to work for two portfolio companies challenging the status quo. Katelin then went on to a career in marketing with Counter Culture Coffee, one of the top sustainable coffee roasters in the world, where she co-authored their corporate sustainability report and launched a subscription program with National Public Radio (NPR).
Katelin brings a healthy dose of grit, spunk, and wit into everything she does. If she's not busy testing new recipes, she can be found hiking with her husband or traveling with family and friends.
Jasmine Rouse, Supply Chain Analyst
Jasmine is a current student at NC State University pursuing her Masters of Science in Textile Engineering. As a graduate researcher at NC State, in their Biomedical Textiles Laboratory group, Jasmine focuses on blending biological applications, biomedical sciences, and materials together. She plans to use her Textile Engineering degree to shape and innovate the world around me. A former materials engineer at Under Armour, Jasmine is experienced in supply chain management, materials and process engineering. As passionate dancer, daughter and friend, Jasmine is applying her incredible talents and skills to Tiny Earth Toys operations. A process oriented ninja, she has built nearly all the standard operating procedures for operations while creating innovation in our forecasting and planning. .
